"THE PURPOSE OF TRAINING IS TO TIGHTEN UP THE SLACK,

TOUGHEN THE BODY, AND POLISH THE SPIRIT."

Morihei Ueshiba

Makoto Aikido has three basic principles: Avoid, control and choose.

  • Avoid (Being punched, grabbed or kicked, which extends to avoid being stabbed, hit with a blunt weapon, or shot with a gun).
  • Control yourself which will allow you to control your attacker.
  • Choose whether you are going to hurt your attacker or not.

Larry Reynosa- Shihan’s teachings are preserving the authenticity of Aikido and O’Sensei’s philosophy: kindness, compassion, honesty and integrity.

”Masakatsu Agatsu Katsuhayabi”

“True victory is self-victory. Right here, right now!”

M. Ueshiba
